About

Engineer first, AI enthusiast always.

I'm a Computer Systems Engineering undergraduate at the University of York, specialising in Artificial Intelligence. My work sits close to the model: producing and quality-assuring SFT/RLHF data for GLM-series models at Zhipu, building hybrid retrieval engines, and shipping agent systems that solve real tasks.

I care about the parts of AI that are hard to demo but easy to feel when they're missing — retrieval that actually recalls, evaluation you can trust, data pipelines that catch their own mistakes, and agents that degrade gracefully when the network disappears.

Outside of coursework and internships, I build open-source projects (mostly retrieval and agent tooling), write about what I learn, and co-authored a paper on edge-computing task offloading for smart parking.
